this is something i haven't talked about here
i guess because i usually don't stop to take pictures

i have always loved my bike and riding
but i am not one of those people who rides just for the sake of pleasure,
i like to use my bike to get somewhere
there is something so satisfying and so confirming for me to be able to go someplace under my own steam

and i hate traffic
and waiting for subways
or buses
actually,
i hate anything that stops my forward motion
and very little can do that when i am on my bike

(except the wind,
and i don't particularly like wind
under ANY circumstances
except, maybe once)

since moving to brooklyn,
biking to work,
across the bridge
has been a source of great joy to me

it takes about 45 minutes
going is easier, much more down hill
but even after working all day
even if i am tired
even if it is up hill,
i prefer to ride home
