Actually, I usually carried a 24 or 28mm lens on my Canon EOS and shot from the hip. My camera was essentially attached to my hand and I got better and better at judging an good image. I was probably standing nearby and that explains some of the great legs. New York is much more available to street photography, in Los Angeles everyone drives and you don't get the same opportunities. I should check out the new LA Subway!
