from what I hear, Dave's dad used to do the maple-tree-sugaring thing, but not anymore. they do still have friends that sell it though, just locally.

Yeah! this is just down the street from us. They put 5 or 6 buckets on all the trees around the perimeter of their property. The sap must be flowing good cuz they got this first batch of syrup out in a couple of days. There's a slightly different view of this at maefleur
