we are being seen by a team of incredible doctors
everyone is as loving and as helpful as you can imagine
but there are also a battery of tests to be done
and my mother is exhausted.

the reality is
she has not been eating or drinking adequately
for a couple of months now
so in addition to the pain, the discomfort and the lack of sleep
she has no nutritional stamina to fall back on.
