there have been a lot of farmers retiring over the past couple of years
first, my "trout guy"
then our montauk "fish guy"
now my "flower people"

there are always new farmers that replace them
but of course, each has their specialties
that on can no longer get once they are gone

so ,
I don't think the new flower people are going to have gladiolas or peonies
i went into the union square market on wednesday
to get these
