Had a slight lack of passion lately so I was not friends with my Camera. I am finally feeling good about art, photography and myself so I picked it up and shot around the house a bit. Also uploaded a couple of older photos from the winter that were on the same stick.

It is late December and I did not send out Christmas cards this year as it did not snow very much at this point in the year. I decided to head out to the mountains to look for snow. Found plenty but did not feel any shots were Christmas card worthy. Thought I would share the adventure anyway.

I have not been shooting so much lately due to poor lighting. My driving schedule is tighter as well so I am unable to stop when I would like. Hoping for some more snow that stays around so I can do my Christmas cards : ) Thanks to all who have left comments they always make me smile.

I was walking through a grassy park towards my big truck when I kicked a crumpled up piece of light blue paper. I picked it up intending to throw it in the trashcan near my truck. Curious, I unfolded it to see what it was. On one side was a coupon for a movie rental and on the other side a personal note written in a feminine hand. It said, " I hope you can feel how much I love you. Every morning when I wake up I thank god for bringing you to me. Every day the sun shines brighter and the nights are not so empty and dark. I go to sleep loving you more than the day before". Being on the road a lot I sometimes feel a little lonely, so for the life of me I could not imagine anyone crumpling this up and tossing it to the ground. I cannot remember the last time I felt I could write that to anyone nor can I ever remember anyone writing anything like it to me. I have been using it for a bookmark now for over a week. I am at a loss as to how anyone could not be moved by those words and it makes me think about how I interact with those around me. Odd isn't it.

We went on a wee adventure this past long weekend in my Jeep. I want to show both my jeep and where it will take me to find beautiful things to photograph . It's why I own a jeep, so I can see more stuff. Some of the jeep photos are taken by Bev if I am driving. A group of us drove for about nine hours to get to the area we are wheeling in. First three travel photos are taken by Milan. We drove from Calgary Alberta to Penticton British Columbia on the Trans-Canada highway. Off road we are traveling on old mining survey trails mostly .
