Coastal Storm
The third wind and rain storm in a week. So much for the drought.

Excellent shot Garn! It looks like you're going to need to get out your chainsaw and start carving from the looks of this wood. :)

I like the cruel, stormy atmosphere here.

Go tell that guy his headlights are still on!
...As for my double rainbow...between yours and Sunny's comments it seems you guys don't believe that is a real photo! I took that and most all of my sunrise-sunset pictures from my bedroom and Iv'e got the slides to prove it! :^)) Oh, I just re-read your comment and I guess "Double effect" does not neccessarily imply PhotoShop effect so I will withdraw my defensive posture and go surfing now :) Storms passed yet? sparkyleigh - Oct 17, 2003 |
I know, I know...
In this new digital world where any and every thing in an image can be altered or enhnced beyond reality, I have become protective and proud that I still take and present images as taken. The other thing that bugs me is these zoo pictures of wonderful wildlife animals with sad eyes. Yet the thing is people buy those in-your-face shots of them because they are so close-up. I make a point to show wildlife in their natural surroundings. I used to spend a lot of energy trying to get closer and closer, often distrubing the subject, just to get a closer shot. Then I realized that what makes the image special IS to see the animal or bird in its surroundings in the wild. ...Boy Jim, I am rambling here eh! Back later, gotta go help a friend find their new property corners. I still come in handy with my old MacBlo survey skills here...The property is my ex-girlfriend Fay who just bought the 5 acre wooded lot adjacent to mine. Fay is that skinny one standing in the Green Lake foto here. ~~Later Bro sparkyleigh - Oct 17, 2003 |
