the image has to be the active one

click add external image

in the 1st box put the actual url of the page the image is located on

in the 2nd box put whatever caption you want

in the 3rd box put the address of the image itself

(on pc you right click on the image, left click on properties and it gives you the image location; this will be a .jpg as opposed to a .html etc.)
