contestants start with 1 and a half hours each for a game on countdown timer
beginners can usually finish a game in 30 mins as their moves are not as complicated
the top players often use up their clock on early moves (the first 200), then have only 30 secs per move till the game is over once the time is up. most of the top players used up two hours easily on a game.
