Winter color
Color like this always amazes me in the middle of winter. We get so accustomed to seeing bare branches, and we know that I do love those (!), and those somehow seem more amazing to me because they seem to have no way to sustain themselves but the cold harsh air and the watery sun. This splash of color reminds me that winter is not all about black white and grey.

What incredible colors for winter. I don't recognise the plant but it's stunning. But there is a tradition of trying to bring color into the house with plants in the northern hemisphere: holly, poinsettia and even Christmas cactus, all signs of hope for the Spring.
