I'm embarrased to be starting my photoblog like this but I'm afraid I must and will do so with good reason. This was taken during my first photography outing since I got my D70. I trekked up to the roof of a 13 story apartment building and shot the various scenes of the Philadelphia skyline during sunset. This is probably the image I was drawn to the most (I took maybe.....40?) but I have to admit it's mediocre. I modified the levels and the colors, just a bit, in PS CS, which I just downloaded the trial version of and am very limmited in.

If you've got any suggestions as to how to make it better, or, while were on the topic, my photoblog site as well, please...PLEASE...tell me.

this is MY feeling, even if you say it is mediocre.
i think you are starting your fotola quite nicely, telling us the 'tricks' you know or apply, and i'm enjoying very much to come over and read you.
one of the good things in this digital business is : we can take a LOT of pictures, delete another lot and NOT FEEL GUILTY !!
and i'm beginning to think all skylines look alike...
