jeff koons was funny..............shocking..............and surprising...................such an incredible hymn to life................such an appeal to the senses...................
basquiat is always one step beyond..........i had never seen one of his paintings 'in flesh and bone'............he was, he is, so strong and powerful...............so distressing and excruciating.............so mystical...............so full of stamina............and pain.............when i stepped into the main exhibition room.............i managed to be in there only for five minutes.............i felt so shocked and overpowered that i had to walk out.........i was about to burst into tears.............i had to sit down.............take a very deep breath..............and prepare myself for what i was about to experience..................i think that this is one of the most beautiful painting exhibitions i have ever seen in my whole life................i cannot put into words all that i felt.............picture after picture.............painting after painting..............work after work.....................
it took me nearly seven hours to walk around both exhibitions.................and it felt like such a little while........................
just for this..................my trip has been worth it..................
