re: hospitals
true, they are cold
and no, that chair isn't too comfortable
however
we are in the palliative care unit
which is much more peaceful than a normal hospital ward
there are no bells and buzzers
and everyone is trained to be very tender and compassionate
so the environment is actually lovely
we were told that he would need to move to hospice,
but i don't think that will happen
i think he is too far along in the transitioning process
and perhaps he is not stable enough to move
it would be much better for us to stay put,
the hospice is far away and a hassle to get to.
