i met ana at a night pub in the late eighties............that was in murcia...........she was 18 and i was 21.........just kids.............we both were studying at university then.......and became best friends in no time.............

when i finished university i worked for a year and a half in the college where she studied..........and i became her teacher for a whole year..............i remember that she was not a good student and that she failed english a couple of times...........

then we shared a flat for one year.............with some more friends..............

till i had to move back to cartagena for professional reasons..........

the same happened to her............she moved to valencia, then to madrid, and finally to majorca, where she lives to date................

thirty years have passed by and we are still best friends.........we try to meet up at least a couple of times every year............when she comes to alicante to visit her family...........otherwise i fly to majorca...........

she calls me brother...............i call her sister...............

now i am also the legal witness to her wedding to miguel...........the perfect dapper dan..........a most generous soul...........and a kindest gentleman................

so proud to be friends of such a perfect couple..............
