in the 80's there was a project to turn the area into a marina.............luckily it backfired................

the black line in the horizon are giant metal pillars meant to support the future jetty structure..............

a bill was passed last spring to recover the area..............

de-construction work is supposed to be starting after christmas...............

the city hall has committed to not develop and urbanize the area...............

no-one knows if they will stick to their promise................
