when in alcoi on new year the streets were empty...........this meant no restaurants or bars open to enjoy lunch..............

every single business was closed............i had never ever seen that kind of situation before in spain.................but in covid times.............

luckily masu and her husband had stayed at a small hotel in the city a few months before and they remembered it had a small bar....................there we went then...............

the hotel was open..............the bar closed.............but next to the hotel there was an event hall that happened to have organized an new year luncheon and that happened to have a free table for six people..................!!!

there we stepped in and enjoyed a lunch which also happened to be fabulous and quite affordable.....................
