a last supper

			.
on my previous to last day on the beach i met my friend isa and we went out for lunch (not supper) to a really fancy (and expensive) restaurant...............
the nestaurant is called the little octupus and they specialize in oven roasted octopus (thumb).....................
as a dessert we had what you can see in the post................a treat which is so difficult to find in restaurants out of the city of murcia, where they serve it as a typical seasonal dessert during its spring festival...............
it is a lemon tree leaf.............battered (in a crusty and delicate batter)............then deep fried in olive oil.................then sprinkled with white sugar and ground cinamon.............in this restaurant they served it with a scoop of almond icecream and some home-made liquid caramel.................
you do not eat the leaf...............just the crusty batter, which has been perfumed with the scent of lemon in the process of ddep-frying...........
a treat.....................!!!
this is called paparajote..........and no-one knows what that means or the word origins............
video recipe paparajotes
no option for captions in english but............you can start learning some spanish...............!
:)
