the incessant pull of a timeless void

and that is something that i envy
the ability to move
to leave
to float
to roam
without
always feeling that pull
that tug
that limit
of those roots
bound so deeply
into the earth

it's the hardest part about "now"
not having that grounding
even though i envy
the freedom others have

perhaps this experience will serve me
perhaps i am actually growing
perhaps,
like you,
"i am buiding up, consolidating stuff"
and it will mean something
some day
