today my nephew beau and his girl friend sunny came to visit, they are both art students at the school for visual arts, beau is about to finish senior year. i took this last semester when i had a studio visit with him.

beau and i have an amazing synchronicity. while i am sure he has been influenced by me, i believe that has more to do with the effect of my process on him as opposed to the actual content of the work that i make. it is a beautiful thing for me, when we see what each other is doing, how similar elements of our paintings can be. this is not because we are in such close contact, it's just a connection that is there.
