easter sunday and what a nice treat to be invited to dinner by the next-door neighbors. i feed their fish and they feed my cats when we each go away. and i have a bit of a special relationship with alex, their 6 year old (probably because i am the present lady).

deb cooks every night and she makes real dinner dinners; meat & potatoes and stuff that smells like mom's cooking. i on the other hand, tend to cook bizarre combinations of pasta & vegetables & cheese: if i can get the whole meal in one bowl, i'm happy.

they usually eat around 6:30, so by 6 (when i am just beginning to think about staving off hunger pangs) the most amazing smells start wafting into my studio. it can drive me nuts and i usually have to make a little snack since i don't eat until 9 or 10.

so great to finally taste what i've been smelling all these years.

i'm stuffed!
