sometimes it's not enough to know
the ebb and the flow,
when it will change,
how deep it will run.

sometimes one must just be able to ride it,
to ride it out.

sometimes it brings things to you,
sometimes it carves away huge chunks,
control isn't an option,
but awareness is crucial.

it is always about give and take.
