i don't know where i am with all this
i love the house
but...
the airplane noise is consistent about 50% of the time;
i don't know if i can handle that

i cleared a portion of the garden today
and have rethought the whole "studio on the top floor" concept

(@fernando:
that makes the blue room the guest room,
:D)

i am leaning towards creating the studio by building out into the garden
(it is big)
and installing skylights.
this plan not only keeps the integrity of the house intact
but also puts an end to the queasy feeling i get when i think of the logistics of a 3rd floor studio pieced together from demolished bedrooms...

but all this is acedemic
if i can't adjust to the noise.

neen, looks like a really nice place. im sure the jets will become background noise and you'll hardly notice after a while. kind of a big thorn, but it's still a nice rose!

i lived by the airport for some 5 years, i could say jumbojet or caravelle (long time ago :DDD) by the noise. i got used to it, and in the end it was sort of fun

hello, my dear
*L is right
we 've lived on a descent path into PHL for 16+ years
and the only time in the last few years that we noticed it was right after 9/11...when we noticed the silence...
