in the wee hours of the morning
in orlando florida
a crazy person
took out 49 people
and injured 53 others
before he was shot

it was a hate crime
targeting the LBGTQ community
(and perhaps the latino community as well)
it was an act of terror
(he aligned himself with ISIS)
it was the deadliest mass shooting
in this country

so many young lives gone
so many families destroyed
the hatred in this country must be subdued
or we will bear witness
to more brutality
