this morning
i witnessed the same devastation
on one of my tomato plants
that i had seen last year
and i knew
it could only be
the dreaded hornworm

i looked for it
but to no avail
a couple of hours
(and a few branches)
later
i returned,
determined to find it

amazing that something so large
can hide so well
