posting this here
to mark something that has happened with my process

i have made very little work in the past year that feels like growth to me
but one thing that I have started doing on IG
is making these diptychs
which i use as the lead image when I post about political action

it is a continuation of a project I began years ago
titled "somewhere in between"
where I create diptychs composed of a painting (oil or watercolor) and a photograph

it is growth because I have found a way
to organically incorporate my art process with my activism
and it has made it so my IG feed
reflects my having a studio practice

this is meaningful to me
