tree : Ipê Amarelo ( yellow Ipê )
native Brazilian timber , nearly extinct .
when we first bought our peace of land, this tree was supposed to be dead.
it was completely dried out and people with papers to knock it down.
we couldn't believe it and gave it a chance...
lots of work finally rewarded last 2002.

JK, sobre sua msg quanto à minha foto das flores azuis, desconheço o nome da espécie, mas vou investigar. O que posso informar é que florece nos meses de seca, no cerrado do norte de Goiás. A foto foi feita em 08/09/04. Assim que tiver mais detalhes informarei. Abraço. Marcelo

makes me think (with a smile) of Bolkonsky's reflections on an oak tree...at one time twisted, dark and gnarled, old and appearing near death. Then suddenly, vibrant, green and bursting with new life!
