a strange composite image that this reminded me of

i hope so much to be able to keep that house
and to start on planning a new life
but nothing is definite right now...

my friend who moved here from sweden, described it like bobbing around on an ice flow,
adrift in the sea
not knowing which way you will go
or if you can stay afloat
or how much can just melt away

that's kind of it
except of course,
it is very very hot
