i have known a plant here in Brazil which is just like this one !
the populaar name is 'cineraria" , something like "cinder" , "ash"
likes lots of sunlight + water...
how about this north hemisphere cousin ?

in fact, i have seen it ( wonderfully full ) in a cold state of Brazil, of course not as cold as NY, but quite cold in winter and lots of nights year round, so let us believe yours beautiful one will really survive ; this place runs extremes of temperature all year round, and the cineraria resists .
it is really a beautiful plant.
yes, i think the image frequently plunges into a different dimension when turned and it is mostly noted when there are long shadows, i suppose
