hudson is very strange, as you probably know, over the past 5-10 years it has turned into a design destination with extremely expensive antique/used modern stores along one main street but with the surrounding streets still very depressed. i have never been there when it felt vibrant or bustling and it was always a mystery to me how these huge stores & expensive restaurants could flourish

now with the economic downturn, many storefronts are empty and it feels more fragile than ever
