tech break:

i have finally done it
committed to RAW

for PC users, microsoft now has a RAW plug in for explorer
(it requires service pack 2 for XP which i had somehow managed to avoid deploying and for once in my life i completed an upgrade without any "issues", infact i was so psyched that i actually bit the bullet and converted my access database from 97 to 2003, seamlessly!!!)

so i've sent in my upgrade to photoshopCS2
(which also handles RAW)
and bought a 1 gig card

and yes, now i can spend even more time processing images 'cause this s*** can be slow as hell.
