went to dumbo today for the art under the bridge festival

my friend tamara did a performance piece
she painted, in water, the following on the pavement:

ALL THAT WE HAVE CREATED WILL DECAY

ALL THAT WE OWN WILL BE TAKEN

ALL THAT WE LOVE SHALL BE DESTROYED

i watched her progress and its disappearance from above as i went through various studios, it was a strong piece

but,
while i saw some good work,
overall i was drained by the experience.
maybe it was too many people, too much visual stimulation,
(especially after a rather social "art night" last night)
maybe it wasn't visually stimulating enough
maybe i just got very tired.
