compost again
this time on a grand scale
at the soundview composting site

it was wild;
you drive in
and are confronted with rows of compost
about 10 ft high
and maybe 50 ft long
in varying stages of decomposition
and all these green thumb new yorkers
are backing up their cars
to these rows
and bringing out shovels
and every variety of container
to haul away compost
it was lovely
and a bit surreal
and somewhat humerous
