this epitomizes for me my dislike of the stuffed animal sculptures
the griminess of the pieces
that will only become more distasteful with age
is so unappealing to me

I collected dolls & stuffed animals when I was little
and while i am far from fastidious
(as either a child or an adult)
the fact that anything fabric
will become dusty and dirty over time
troubles me

when i was in middle school
i built a cabinet
that was supposed to have glass doors
in which I could safely house my collections

i got as far as building the case
the doors were too much of a challenge
for both my shop teacher and myself
(i think she actually spent a lot of time on it)
and i basically ended up with another bookcase
