lost weekend...technology

it feels like this
like i am facing an endless array
of pipes and valves
that make no sense to me

and they are gilded
because they are apple
and that means
it's all supposed to work
:)
but it doesn't
:(

maximo: i made the switch from pc
when my laptop got stolen
and my only option on a replacement
was the vista OS
i decided that if i was going to have to learn something new
(that was so badly designed)
i'd go mac
i do have a virtual pc
since i used to program in MSAccess
and still have a hefty database that i haven't been able to replace with anything mac

hard an tedious......................

last week my external hard disk died.....................no way i could start it without having it formatted...................and i store everything in there................documents, films, music, programs and photographs....................i have extra copies of my documents on box.com and on dropbox.com...............extra copy of the music on my laptop...................extra copy of the progrmas on a pendrive.............and extra copy of all my pics on my laptop...........all but those which i had taken since last february....................!!!!
i spent a whole them downloading them from flickr.......................(that's the main reason why i am there................you can upload and download original archives at any time)...................i had no copy of the films..........but, well, i don't really care that much since we can watch nearly anything online.......................
