not my tomatoes...my neighbors

i planted 5 heirloom tomato plants in containers
on my deck this summer
one, after giving me a few paltry green attempts
died
the other ones are struggling along
producing a few fruit
which don't seem to want to ripen

to date
in total
i have picked 4 tomatoes
with a little luck
my crop yield by the time of our first frost
might increase to 10,
maybe

not a stellar year

i know about that..............this year..........my total crop yield was around 20 tomatoes................which is nothing if we consider that we had planted seven tomato plants........................

all of them grew beautifully green and healthy.............but that's nearly it.................we only picked up three or four tomatoes for each plant.............they produced that little fruit and then just dehydrated and died......................

the pepper plants are still alive and producing fresh peppers every two weeks though................
