will be 42 "starting w/(a)line" paintings
(5x7" watercolor on paper)
these are the ones
where a single line continues from one painting
to the next,
i've been making them for years.
i installed them across the top of the cases,
creating a sort of unifying frieze

i used the thread to create a line
against which to put the bottom of the paintings
it was a serendipitous install
i was told the cases were 48" wide,
which meant i could only install 6 per case
(42")
and they wouldn't stretch end to end
in reality the cases were very close to 49"
and i was able t get 7 across
