this is surprisingly similar to baabar's situation,
he broke is bone on the vertical axis
but it is the femur
so he can't be put in a cast
they need to operate and put in some sort of pin, or wires or something
then the little monster needs to stay relatively quiet
for 4-6 weeks
i can't even imagine how i am going to accomplish this

we took him to the hospital this morning
he was sedated so they could do x-rays
tomorrow is the operation
friday he can come home

the only comforting thing
is that everyone at the vet was gaga over him
and i think he is getting a lot of love
(and pain meds)
