this violence
against young men of color
by the police
visited my community
his aunt lives in a friend of mine's building,
he has a 16 year old son
and now
he is dead

it is so tragic
for his family,
for crown heights,
for brooklyn,
for NY,
for the country

and unfortunately
not that shocking
