these cutouts
which bounce and spin in the wind
have been installed
through out the open fields
of the BBG

the tag says that they are made by
watch dog goose patrol
and they act as a kind of scarecrow
for geese

this is in an effort
to keep the lawns of the garden
from being completely covered with goose poo

it seems to be working,
because when i went to visit
the very formal reflecting pools
that make up the lily pond area,
(where there are no guard dogs)
the paved promenades
are sporting an abundance of goose droppings
where i have never seen them before
