i was clearing last years annuals
from the pots on the deck
and was throwing them away
when i realized...
i was going to need them in the studio

and then,
just like at the end of summer
when i realize there will be no more flowers
from the garden until next year...

i began to worry
that now
there will be
no more discarded roots
until next year

but i will have more flowers soon
:)
