i clicked on a B&W filter
and was so surprised at how this image changed

even though i took it
completely because the brilliance of the color
this seems not to be devoid of color at all,
it seems simply to be about contrast

and i realize
how differently i must have related to the world
as a B&W photographer

how that translation into the monochrome
on a daily basis
happened so seamlessly
how much it was a part of my seeing
