often memorials,
like weddings as well,
bring up memories
of one's own,
closest experiences
with these life changing events

strangely,
i had no conscious sense of my mother,
her life which entwined us with this family,
her memorial,
her death,

and then i came home
and passed out for 3 hours

i suppose,
i had exerted a lot of energy
suppressing something
