this was a strange one
it is a piece of plumbing
in the lily pad pool
in the botanic garden

not sure what it is for
it is somewhat reminiscent
of the ball "float" in the tank of a toilet bowl
since that is used to cut off water flow
when the ball reaches a certain height
perhaps that is what this is used for as well

as many times as i have photographed
this corner of the pool
i have never seen it before
