when i was younger,
maybe 14 or 15,
i told my mother that I wanted a tear bottle
and she found me one,
probably roman,
probably around 2000 yrs old.

when i said I wanted to collect my tears in it,
she said i shouldn't,
because the salt would probably erode the iridescence further,
so...
i never did

it kind of begs the question:
"why did i want a tear bottle?"
or even
"how much are you crying?"

but no one asked
