oh i love aeeing this

i think you must live in a wonderful place

you know,
it's not that i don't like traveling

it's true
i don't like the idea of leaving
my home
my cats
my work

but once i get somewhere i am pretty good about it
about finding my way
seeing things that have meaning
((as opposed to touristy stuff)
but that is a different type of traveling
that is going someplace because you want to
not just because your friend happens to have a house there
that means planning a bit
which didn't happen at all because i decided to let someone else take charge for once
and it means not being tied to aomeone else's schedule....

i don't like to take snapshots
i like to be in a place
see it
absorb it
feel it
and then i can shoot

i had hoped, since i had been to this place before
and felt a little familiar
that this would really be possible
but the whole thing was so draining
(especially after that ride which was physically very rough)
i was just wiped by the time i finally got "my day"
