some things i learned and/or remembered today:
1. another reason i have been avoiding this stage (finishing) of the process is that (in addition to everything else) it is so persnickety (and i am not) . it requires cleanliness, precision and exactitude, none of which are my fortes.
2. while i might like tools, i hate tools that are sub par, so when it comes to fine-tuning, all the inadequacies of anything i am using are magnified.
3. there is a HUGE difference between spontaneous and arbitrary.
4. it's easier to do something than it is to think about doing it.
5. if you want to find the essence of something, if you want it to reveal itself to you, approach it with love.
