this bucket mysteriously appeared on my terrace (fire escape) some time last fall.
well, actually a lot of stuff (cigarette butts, planters, misc debris) tends to appear there courtesy of my upstairs neighbors, so i guess it's not a mystery.

this is a 5 gallon container for tidy kat (obviously their preferred choice of cat litter) and it is actually quite nice.

well it started filling with rain water and i began documenting its process.

when i was preparing my flower beds yesterday, i realized how useful it would be (to say nothing of the fact that this is spring cleaning after all) and i dumped the water so i could clean it out.

this is what was left.
