synchronicity

my love of and trust in synchronicity is no secret to those who know me but i am not sure if i have ever specifically discussed it in terms of the juxtapositions i notice sometimes when linking to the image i posted a year ago.

it is impossible for me to ignore this today.

on the simplest level, synchronistic events can be thought of as the aspects of an underlying all knowing "web" (connecting events, objects and dimensions) that are made visible to us.

today i took an all day photoshop CS2 course at the javits center, i had an hour for lunch and decided to go to a little place on 9th avenue where i had been before, it took some finding; i thought that it was around 29th, it was actually 39th (i love my bike).

it was a treat, a beautiful day and i got to eat outside, not common in november in ny. i went to the bathroom and stopped dead in my tracks...

now obviously when i link an image from a year ago, i inevitably take in the surrounding images on the archive page, but i really do try not to look; i actually love the anticipation each night of seeing what image i am going to be pairing up with.

but the graphic quality of this one did catch my eye last night and there i was looking at it in the physical world today. now in no way did i consciously make a note yesterday of where i took that snap, nor today did i recall any pix i might have taken when i was there before.

yes it is possible that subconsciously i sent myself to this place to have this experience...
but YES, that is what this is all about:
the underlying web,
sometimes conscious,
sometimes on the edge of consciousness,
sometimes in dreemes,
sometimes deeply buried
but always there,
always guiding us
it's just a question of how much of it is visible.

and i believe, the more you trust in it, the more it is revealed to you.

this is about as close as i come to religion
and i do base my life on it.

just for the record, this was not an isolated incident today, there were others. some were more obvious, some infinitely more obscure, all were real.
