paint doesn't lie (#33)
2/2
but it sure can f*** with your head...
so often,
i feel as if my work is too eclectic
not for me
not for the people whjo love me
not for those who thrive on collage, confusion or cacaphony
but
for a certain sect
(sounds religous, maybe it is)
who like to see a theme worked out in all its infinite variations
(and some not so infinite or varied)
and who like to be able to put labels and name tags on everyone and everything
well,
the last few days i have to keep fighting the voices that are telling me that
"i am just doing the same thing over and over"
that
"i am resorting to a known quantity, not breaking any boundaries"
that
"what i am doing is boring"
no, no, no
i am not REALLY listening
i am just saying again
as in the previous post
that
there are no right answers
that
the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence
that
everything is relative
but it sure can f*** with your head...
