I put a basket on the front of my bike.
it might be a little wimpy,
but given everything else i have to deal with:
subway stairs,
bad neighborhoods
etc.
i kind of wanted my bag
(and my camera)
right in front of me,
not dangling off the handle bars

tonite i had the first experience of "me"
in a long time...
took my bike into the city
for a while i'll probably be using the subway to get it across the river
(a lot of people do)
but just having it to get around,
just being able to get off the train and ride,
made me feel,
for a brief moment,
like me
